He was despised and rejected by men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief . . . upon him was the chastisement that made us whole, and with his stripes we are healed.– Isaiah 53:3-5
The cross is a reminder of Christ’s suffering and death. Jesus is the “Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world,” the Redeemer who suffered and died to atone for our sins and open the way to salvation. The cross, and more specifically, the crucifix is a representation of Christ’s sacrifice. It is a traditional practice to have a cross in every room of the house, as a reminder of the love of God and the grace that has been poured out for us.
Assumptions carries a varied selection of crosses and crucifixes, both stand-alone and for hanging on the wall.
